  Has Anybody Here Converted to Judaism?

  i've studied many religions since i left the jws.

  i've flirted with a few and have actually thought about joining, but in the end i didn't because it didn't feel right--it didn't resonate with me.

  in 2001, the year i discovered this forum, i started reading judaism 101 and really enjoyed it.

  If we are talking opinions, yes. However, when a high percentage of the factors are facts, and the optimal choice is very strongly indicated, and a person goes another route, they are more likely to be branded an idiot.

  i never noticed before, but wouldn't this letter normally be signed?

  All of the committee members aren't going to sign that. It's attributed to the committee.
  
  Also, it's not like the Constitution of the United States, where it would be a badge of honor. If I were on that committee, I wouldn't want my individual name on that.

  to justify the existence of evil and suffering, despite god being all powerful and benevolent, it is said that free will is of such high worth that it is worth the risk of us using it to create evil.

  Free will exists, and some creatures use it for evil ends. God didn't create evil, so he does not bear the responsibility of a free agent's actions, in the same way that Ford or Chevy doesn't share the vehicular manslaughter charge in a drunk-driving case.

  Welcome Baby Meadow Joanne

  today (29th august 2008) at 5.22pm baby meadow arrived weighing 6lb 7oz; she was born at home in a birthing pool without any medical interventions other than gas and air; both mother and baby are well (although dawn is well and truly exhausted from a 12 hour birthing).

  i am immensely proud of them both.

  today my world was made complete!.
